Helping Hands Recycle-A-Bicycle initiative is part of our health and wellbeing strand. We get unwanted bikes donated. Working with partners we repair and service the bikes and donate them, for free, to families in the community.
Our next drop off day is on Saturday 19th September in Ocean Terminal (Ground Floor outside GAP) between 10am-2pm.

As Edinburgh continues to evolve, Helping Hands recognises that participation of young people, including those living in housing schemes, is an essential component to creating a sustainable city that is genuinely for all its citizens. As well as bike collection and distribution Helping Hands Recycle-A-Bicycle engages the community in our collective action.
As with all Helping Hands projects Recycle-A-Bicycle is completely self funding. We accept no state or corporate funding. We are all volunteers. No Salaries. Just Solidarity.
Recycle-A-Bicycle works with established Helping Hands groups in housing schemes across Edinburgh. We accept bikes for all ages. This compliments the work of our Bikes For Kids programme.
