Edinburgh Helping Hands ceased operations on 31st December 2020. But the legacy continues.

Who Were Helping Hands?

Founded by Jim Slaven and Bradley Welsh in 2014 Helping Hands was an all volunteer community based organisation established to work with partners in challenging social and economic inequality in Edinburgh. When people support one another, there’s no limit to what we can do.

A New Approach To Community

We rejected the state funded poverty industry. Helping Hands receives no state funding. We relied on support from the communities we work with. Our work was also supported by Scotland’s top professional and ex-professional sportsmen and women and artists.

And much, much more.
